The answer to the query is (x-3).Furthermore the statement, Im going to guess (x^2)-6 makes no sense relative to the query - you are to list ONE FACTOR OF THE POLYNOMIAL!(x^2)-6 is not one of the choices.......
A polynomial function has a zero at x = 3. Which of the following expressions must be one factor of the polynomial?

-
It would help if the choices were there, but I'm going to guess (x^2)-6. It factors into (x+3)(x-3), and gives a 0 at x=3.

-
That selected best answer is incorrect. The answer to the query is (x-3).
Furthermore the statement, "I'm going to guess (x^2)-6" makes no sense relative to the query - you are to list ONE FACTOR OF THE POLYNOMIAL! (x^2)-6 is not one of the choices.
