Im not sure which.-Well Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. if that what you are talking about.-I would say our star because it keeps us all alive.......

No, a star cant be made of diamond, there is no fuel to keep the star alive, it couldn't even become a star. I think you have confused yourself with the statement that a star's core could be much more denser than that of a diamond. Which is definitely possible.

From my current knowledge, the rarest star discovered would be Canis Majoris, making it one of the largest Hypergiants out there.
