How did physicists discover the speed of light originally? Also how did they discover absolute zero

As far as absolute zero, the number for each temperature scale resulted from the theoretical predictions for the point at which all molecular motion would cease. This, of course, has never actually been demonstrated precisely.

As indictaed above, the moons of Jupiter eclipse provided an early evaluation into the fact that the speed of light was not infinite and an estimate of how fast it was.
For the absolute zero, the gas law provided the initial understanding, as a perfect gas would have reduced to zero volume and zero pressure at the absolute zero.

The eclipses and transits of Jupiter's four large moons were off by a bit. They averaged out to be right on the money... but... when Jupiter was on the far side of the Sun, these eclipses were about 8 minutes later than average. When Jupiter was at oppostion, these eclipses were 8 minutes earlier than average.
If you imagine that light takes time to cover the difference in distance, you start to see what was really going on.

Idk about the speed of light. But absolute 0 is only a theory, because you cant get to it, but it is believed that all the particles that are at absolute 0 have no kinetic energy

Absolute 0 degrees was defined, not discovered.

Neither one were DISCOVERED. BOTH were THEORIZED (guessed at), and later verified through experimentation.
