for the people on the earth it appears blue due to atmospheric refraction but for the astronauts in space it appears dark as atmospheric refraction is not promonent in space..

It is a trick question. There is no such thing as "sky", it's just a code word for what you see when you look that way. It has no color, as you can see by checking the scientific references for oxygen and nitrogen, which make up nearly all the atmosphere. The color that you see is caused by sunlight being bent at various angles. If the sky had a definite color it would not be bright. Or rather it would only be bright on the side where the sun is. On the other side it would be dark.
