Find some other shells that look a little bigger than the one he is in and put them in his cage. I would put 4-5 shells in there so he can choose the one to his/her liking. Do not assume he will pick the one you like best, as he/she won't. I would also have a hand full of shells in his/her cage at all times as they like to switch around. They are very cute pets and teach you something different about animals other than the standard pets. Both my children had one and so did I.
