I was just on a forum and it said an asteroid the size of the moon just passed the Kuiper belt and is heading towards a collision course with earth, is it true?

IF you are talking about Apophis, every time the orbit of Apophis, which is nowhere NEAR the size of the Moon, the probability of Apophis impacting Earth keeps getting smaller and smaller. Ignorance and fear is why people exaggerate.

THIS is how big the largest asteroid, now dwarf planet, is compared to the Moon:

Show your source. Ask that source to show its source of information. No comment on just words is the best action.
As far as any body the size of our Moon being seen from the distance of the Kuiper belt, that is very hard to believe. Only a couple objects even near that size have been seen. And determining its orbit now, much less what it will be after possibly passing some large planets, that is a lot of speculation. Collisions, while they do happen, are infrequent, hard to predict accurately, and have not been in the news lately.
