I still have not found a definitive answer to that question. The figures I have seen have listed top speeds of between 60 and 70 mph. Though there are probably newer figures since then. Be aware that it is very hard to find top speed since in a normal chase a cheetah is twisting and turning so that they may never hit there true top speed, and in a run there is no way of telling whether they hit their top speed since they are not truly running for their meal in a life or death situation.

The cheetah is the fastest cat, it is a sprinter and therefore can't go long distances, but has been clocked at 72 mph.

They can clock speeds of over 110kph.

They cannot, however, keep this speed up for long distances.
