Find the x and y-intercepts of the graph of each equation!
8. x + y = 9
10. -3x+3y =7
8. x + y = 9
10. -3x+3y =7

8. x intercept is 9
and y intercept is 9
TO Graph: (9,0) and (0,9) respectively.
10. X intercept is -7/3 (-7/3,0)
y intercept is 7/3 (0, 7/3)
The way I found out was I used the cover-up method, which is basically you cover up one of the variables (x or y) and you do basic algebra.

8. bring x over to the over side, so u will have y=-x+9 and your slope (m)=-1 and your y-intercept (b) equals 9.
10. same thing. bring the 3x over to the other side by adding, so u will get 3y=3x+7, then divide by 3, y=x+7/3 , so your slope is 1 and ur y-intercept is 7/3
hope this helps....goodluck!

The x-intercept is what x is equal to when y = 0. Likewise, the y-intercept is what y is equal to when x = 0.
So to find #10's x-intercept, put in 0 for y:
-3x + 3(0) = 7
-3x = 7
x = -7/3
Can you do the rest now?

8. 9;9
10.7/-3;7/3
10.7/-3;7/3

y=9+x
y=(7+3x)/3
y=(7+3x)/3
