How to do de(d + e) and btw the answer = 12

As you should know, two negatives multiplied together give a positive number.......
d = 3
e = - 4

-
Firstly, work out the terms inside the brackets. Here, we have d + e inside them, so we add d and e together:

d + e = 3 + (-4) = -1

So now we can reduce the equation to:

-1 * de

To find de, we multiply d and e together

Here, we have:

3 * -4

= -12

So, now, our final equation is equal to:

-12 * -1

As you should know, two negatives multiplied together give a positive number. So:

-1 * -12 = 12

And we have our answer :)

Hope this helps :D

3*-4 (3 + (-4)) = -12 (-1) = 12
