But it jumps, so it may be a flea cuz I have a dog.Oh, and at the begginning the video is blurry, but see the whole vid.http://www.......
I saw a weird bug on my sofa and I took a video on it to see who could identify it. I think it may be a spider because I think i saw 8 legs (6 legs and 2 pinsirs) and in second 20 i think i saw a spider string reflection. But it jumps, so it may be a flea cuz I have a dog. Oh, and at the begginning the video is blurry, but see the whole vid.

It is undoubtedly a jumping spider, scientifically known as a salticid (Latin; saltus - to jump). The pictures show the characteristic way of holding out the two front legs - and the big jump was conclusive.

Salticids are popular with arachnologists because, unlike most spiders which are rather drab, these spiders are often brightly colored. There are many hundreds of species found all over the world except for the polar regions.

It does look like a spider. To me it doesn't look that much like a red spider mite, but it could be one. Do you live in warm areas? That is where spider mites are. Spider mites aren't that bad. But it could also be a jumping spider. It just doesn't look right.

It's a jumping spider (family Salticidae). It has eight legs like all other spiders.
