Baking in a Lightning Storm

..........
So I was baking cookies in your typical electric oven and a few minutes ago, a lightning storm started. I turned off the oven but is there any chance that it can explode or anything? I'm kinda worried...

Electric stoves don't explode unless you stuff them full of dynamite and light the fuse.

So...yeah, don't stuff your stove full of dynamite and you'll be fine :-)

Seriously though, your house's electrical system is built with several features to protect it, you and your appliances from electrical storms. You and your stove will be alright.

No -___- it'll just turn off. Unless ur baking outside.. U can still bake.....
