In a reflective telescope, the light enters through the front of the telescope and hits a primary mirror in the back. The light then bounces off the primary mirror and hits a tilted secondary mirror placed before the focal point of the light entering. The secondary mirror bounces the light into the eye piece where the image is formed.
In a refractive telescope, the light enters through a lens at the front of the telescope, then crosses the focal point and enters the eyepiece where you will see the image.
