i thought there was a physics theory that is either absent in math or whose math was lacking. also i believe that the general population has heard of it, like the theory of relativity. is there a physics thoery like i have described?

Perhaps you are thinking of String Theory (M-Theory). It involves 11 dimensions, 1 for time, the 3 space we know and 7 more space dimensions wound up in Plank Scale (roughly 10^- 35 m) " Calabi-Yau "spheres". Problem there are about 10^500 possible Calabi - Yau shapes. We have the math, but don't know which of the 10^500 possible shapes defines our universe.

String theory is fully equipped with the math. What you described is NOT string theory.

All physics theories have a mathematical foundation, which allows them to make quantitative predictions. So no physics theory is without adequate mathematical language.
