In E=MC^2, what are the units

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-06] [Hit: ]
Its free.-answer will be in joules, but in case they are asking for eV then 1 eV is equal to 1.6E-19 joules.......
I already know E is in joules, however my school is crap and hasn't even spoken of anything related to it.
So are M and C kilograms and kilometers, or what?

-
in MKS units, E in Joules, m in kg and c in m/s

-
E is energy, so it is in Joules (J).
M is mass, so it is in Kilograms (Kg).
C is the speed of light, so it is in metres per second. (m/s)

-
M is the mass, in america, they usually use Kilogram- Kg.
C is the speed of the light. Its unit is meter per second - m/s.

You should ask your teacher, don't waste your opportunities. Its free.

answer will be in joules, but in case they are asking for eV then 1 eV is equal to 1.6E-19 joules. M is equal to mass and C is the speed of light (3E8m/s)
