How to combine forces with different directions

(230^2 + 400^2) = 461.41.You didnt put units, so I followed. To me the directions at doesnt compute. So if you need direction (you didnt ask direction),......
I have 3 different forces all with different directions

one is 424 at east
one is 400 at north
and one is 194 at west

how do i combine them?

You have 1 east and 1 west, so (424 - 194) = net 230 east.
Now you have just 2 forces at right angles to each other.
Sqrt. (230^2 + 400^2) = 461.41.
You didn't put units, so I followed.
To me the directions "at" doesn't compute. So if you need direction (you didn't ask direction), you work it out. Use trig.
