is there such objects that when put on water, it partially sinks. It neither float or sinks all the way to the bottom. Just sorta stays in the middle.

Density of water at 4 degree is 999.97 kg /m^2
Density of water at 25 degree is 997.04 kg /m^2
Density of water at 100 degree is958.kg /m^2
==============================
The following substnces have a density nearly equal to that of water.
Alumina (aluminium oxide), Caoutchouc, Polyethylene,Tallow, beef
By adjusting the temperature of water , one can make these substances neither float nor sinks in water.

not really. unless the water is really deep, like a submarine in the ocean. Even by wood, part of it will remain outside of the water so it is not sunk.
A thin shell filled with water, like a water balloon, can middle it even in a swimming pool or maybe even bathtub

Anything with the same density as water.

Yes Wood will float yet will be immersed in water.
