Vy = 5.8*tan31° = 3.......
The x-component of a velocity vector that has an angle of 31degrees to the +x-axis has a magnitude of 5.8m/s.

What is the magnitude of the velocity?
What is the magnitude of the y-component of the velocity?

im so confused help me step by step plz!

Draw the vector. The picture will show that

V = 5.8/cos31° = 6.766 m/s

Vy = 5.8*tan31° = 3.485 m/s
