Newton's 2nd law states the sum of the forces=mass*acceleration

I'm assuming you mean acceleration is 1.6 g's. 1 g = 9.8 m/s^2, therefore acceleration would be 1.6*9.8 = 15.68m/s^2

so know you have the acceleration, all you need to do is plug in the numbers:
(F= horizontal force)(m=mass of the puck)(a=acceleration)

F=m*a
F=1.4 kg * 15.68 m/s^2
F=21.952 kg m/s^2 or 21.952 N
