A particle's position is given by the expresion "P=10/3t^3 - 5/2t^2 - 20t + 10" Determine the position and the acceleration when velocity = 0.

-
The velocity is the time derivative of the position;
v = dP/dt = 10t^2 - 5t -20

The acceleration is the time derivative of the velocity;
a = dv/dt = 20t - 5

Solve the first eq for "t" when "v=0" ,then use that "t" in your position eq and acceleration eq. to get your answer.
I find the velocity is zero at t = 1.686 s
