I am guessing you meant Oppenheimer.
Einstein found, through his theories of relativity [yes there are two of them], that energy and matter are interchangeable. One can be converted into the other. The conversion factor is c^2. So, a rather small amount of matter can be converted into a huge amount of energy. E=mc^2. Anyway, realising this and with others knowing the scientists still in Germany realised this, too, Szillard got with Einstein and had him write a letter to FDR. FDR began our atomic program--the Manhattan Project--and directed the military to get on it. The civilian in charge was J R Oppenheimer.
So, one used the other's discovery to run the program to make the first atomic device.
