It's a mere coincidence, and not even that much of an interesting coincidence. this "psychic" (not physic) made broad generalizations probably made based on cold reading techniques. You may even have given away much of the information about your mother's near abortion that she claims to have "devined", of course, we'll never know for sure as we weren't there and do not have a transcript or recording of the actual "reading".

Also it's a self fuffiling prophecy because now you're looking at this guy more seriously simply because she told you.
