How do I measure liquids!

Ok, so I had this test yesterday and I just didn't get one part. Like, I got the part where if the line is on the 50 line then it is 50mL. But there was one question where there was a 3mL line, then 4mL line. And in between the two numbers there were 9 lines, so it was basically 3.1mL, 3.2mL, 3.3mL, and so on. And the line we were supposed to measure was inbetween 3.5mL and 3.6mL. So, I didn't put an answer. Does anyone know what to write down for a question like that?
Thank you.

If the line of your liquid (called "meniscus") was between the 3.5 ml and 3.6 ml lines, then you could reasonably call it about 3.55 if it was roughly halfway between the two. 3.55 is slightly above 3.5 and slightly beow 3.6.

What do you want to measure? volume? mass? temperature? specific heat? density? or what?

The rest of your question is too garbled to make sense.
