Is it possible that there are still some skeletons in the locked rooms of the titanic where the fish couldn't

. The colder the water, the longer it takes for organic material to decompose. The water temperature where the ship lies is near freezing. Fish in the water just make the process go faster. get into all these years to eat the skeleton bones

It is possible, IF there are sealed compartments. If there is the smallest crevice, bacteria and other microorganisms can get in with the water and "consume" the remains, leaving the bones... The colder the water, the longer it takes for organic material to decompose. The water temperature where the ship lies is near freezing. Fish in the water just make the process go faster. The first bacteria to attack the body are from the body's own digestive tract which sees the now dead tissue as food. Eventually, years later, the bones will finally go as well. I saw a nature program where a whale that died on a beach was towed and sunk in the Pacific Ocean. The scientists then observed what happened. It took about 4 years to reduce the carcass to just the bones when crustaceans (crabs and such) were the only ones left picking apart the remaining bones into tiny pieces. Microorganisms would take longer, but the process of decay and decomposition remains the same. The reason why fossils survive is the calcium bone matter is replaced with other mineral rock in an airless environment. By the way, calcium itself is a form of rock when found in the environment.

No there is no way the titanic is so old that the bodys will have been degrated by small creature in the water and the bones "skelotons" will have disolved in to sand or ocean dust.
