Ive been taking oxycontin for years now. A few months ago, my dr started the process of weening me off. I was on a high dose, but cme down all the way to the lowest within a few months. My final decrease was from 20mg to 10mg. I just started he 10mg dose yesterday, and it doesnt last me until my next dose. A couple hours before my next dose, i start to get withdrawal..is there anything i can do to avoid this? I have oxycodone 15mg also, but idk if taking those would void my attempt ..i quit smoking cigarettes before, but the withdrawals from this are at least 5x worse..please, any help?

yes if you take the 15mg of oxycontin you will really hurt you progress in quiting the drug. I do know how you feel i take Lortab 4 x per per day. And thw withdrawals are hard on a person. i broke into a cold sweat then i would chill. I take mine for my arthritis pain. I take the pink ones 10/500mg. K Good luck in coming off that drug. been taking this now for about 8 years.
