It is possible, but you need to play the odds. You might get a little sick from the flu shot, but if you've ever had the flu, you know the shot is the better risk.

I have heard both good and bad. First, It gives you a milder version of the flu, so it makes you sick, so that later that year when the flu comes around, your body will fight it off much better than if you didn't get the shot. But every ones bodies are different. My wife's grandmother got the flu shot last year, then she died the next day.

My mom always told me the flu shot is not good for you because no research has been done on the long term effects. But i also am 27 years old and never been seriously sick. I think the flu shot is good for old people, younger kids, and people with weak immune systems that cannot fight off viruses.

No, it is not a live vaccine. Anyone who gets sick was going to get sick anyway. We all had our shots with no side effects at all (everyone in the clinic got them).

I just had my 20th flu shot-yes they are safe & do not make you sick.
