Veterinary school is much like medical school. First you need to get a bachelors degree in science and then 4 years of veterinary school. There are fewer veterinary schools than medical schools and are hard to get into. Other careers in veterinary medicine are veterinary technicians and technologist. These are usually 2 year college based programs.
Most jobs in heath care, whether human or animal are going to require you to deal with some blood and guts. A class or two in biology and physiology would likely help you figure out if this is something you want to pursue.

1] all medical/nursing jobs, for people and animals, deal with blood and some surgery - gotta get used to it!
2] take a class that will expose you to dissections, blood so you can deal with dead 'patients' first - they won't notice if you get sick!
3] if you barf, do it in the toilet or a trash can
4] if you feel faint, sit down; or lean on a wall and slide down [ so you don't hurt yourself ]
5] all students feel queasy sometimes
6] get plenty of sleep; and eat before any 'labs'
