This is sort of a dumb sounding question..but a doctor is a great career I was just wondering why more people dont want to pursue it.

some people aren't really sure about what they want to pursue untill they've already done their GCSE's, and if they haven't worked hard enough, or if they just cant make the science and maths grades, then they don't want to redo their GCSE's , but rather just choose an easier path to go down. Plus it is a massive time spent in Uni. But i beleive that it is worth it in the end, as i would like to be a dentist, and to become something like that you have to put the effort in, which some people dont wanna do. Haha -phew-, i feel like i just wrote a friggin essay, sorry to the person reading this lols XD hope its helpful xx

I don't know what you're talking about...here at my college, in the natural science faculty where the biology majors are, more than 80% of the students want to be doctors. Its pretty competitive and the classes are challenging. If you spend some time at the science faculty of a college you are bound to meet people who want to be doctors.

instead of many years and lots of tuition money, i was content with 2yr, going for 4 and doing all medical tests in the lab. You can go to school and be broke for years or i could go for 2yrs become mlt then finish at a 4 yr college and become mt.
As a lab tech i do all medical tests on body fluids and culturing infectious agents, dooctors do not run tests they order them and use their knowlege to figure out why ppl are sick. I perfer being in the lab actually running the test, i just find that much more interesting

A lot of people WANT to be doctors, but nobody wants to do the work and make the sacrifices.
