D.W. say: 66/4 = 16 remainder 2
48/4 = 12
you can get 12×16 = 192 parts

Como say: 16 x 12 = 192 _____I would think

J say: Try tilting all the squares.
You may be able to get more than 192 that way.

Ricki say: Draw a sketch. how many 4" sections can you cut out of the 48" width? how many out of the 66" length? Multiply the two numbers.
That is assuming no thickness is allowed for the cuts. if you were ripping a piece of plywood with a table saw, you'd have to allow for the thickness of the blade.

say: The trick with this is to realize that you won't get a whole number of parts in the long direction since 66/4 = 16.5
So that means you have 16 in one direction, and 12 in the other
16 x 12 = 192
You have to waste the equivalent of 6 parts.

cidyah say: (66x48)/(4x4) = 3168 /16 = 198 parts
-
Alex say: Divide 48 by 4 and divide 66 by 4 and multiply the two answers.
For example, how many 5x5 parts would I get out of a 103 by 77 sheet.
103/5=20.6 or simply 20 whole pieces, 77/15=15.4 or 15 whole parts. 20x15=300
Do the same for your problem and you'll get the result.
