Question about factoring trinomials

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-10-19] [Hit: ]
My question is, if the numbers arent prime, they arent completely factored down, so does this matter? How do I continue factoring the trinomial?Thank you.......
Okay the trinomial is: 8x^2-18+9

So I'm doing group factoring because I think it's the easiest. I multiplied 8x9=72
So I need 2 factors of 72 that add up to -18, correct? The two numbers are 6 and 12

My question is, if the numbers aren't prime, they aren't completely factored down, so does this matter? How do I continue factoring the trinomial?

Thank you.

8x^2-18x+9
8x^2-12x-6x+9
4x(2x-3)-3(2x-3)
(4x-3)(2x-3)
