Mirella, trust me I teach thi stuff and if -3 is one of the choices then -3 it is! Integers are the whole numbers and there "opposites". What that means is that for every whole number say 432 there is an opposite -432, so the negative integers are not considered whole numbers.

(1) -5

-5 is an integer, but not a whole number

whole numbers = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4...}

integers = {... -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3,...}

(1) -5 is an integer but not a whole number. A whole number is an integer greater than 0.
