2. If f(x) = x²-4, which of the following values of x is f(2x-6)=0?3,4,5,......
i do not get any of these, can someone please help solve, thank you. Also please show work i want to learn how to solve these

1. If x and y are both integers, x + y > 15, and x - y <9, what is the least possible value of y?

2. If f(x) = x²-4, which of the following values of x is f(2x-6)=0?
3,4,5,6, or 7

3. For what value of x does [( x²+x-6 ) /( x² -2x + 2 )] = 5

4. The cost of 3 large popcorn and 2 large drinks is $26. If 2 large popcorn and 1 large drink costs $16, what is the cost of 1 large popcorn and 1 large drink?

5. Based on the equations (x+y)² = 125 and (x-y)² = 25, what is the value of x²+y²?

-
1.) x + y > 15 => y > 15 - x

x - y < 9 => y > x - 9

x - 9 = 15 - x => x = 12

y > 3

So least possible value for y = 4.

2.) f(2x - 6) = 4x² - 24x + 32 = 0

x² - 6x + 8 = 0

(x - 4)(x - 2) = 0

x = 4

3.) You get a complex solution for this involving i...

4.) 3P + 2D = 26

2P + D = 16

P + D = (3P + 2D) - (2P + D) = 10

5.) x² + y² + 2xy = 125

x² + y² - 2xy = 25

x² + y² = (125 + 25)/2 = 75
