3=(-4)(-2) + b. Then, 3=8+b. Then, solve for b. ---> 3-8= -5.......
FInd the eqaution of the straight line with the gradient -4 passing through the point (-2,3)

-
well if the slope is -4 and it goes through (-2,3) then just plug all those numbers into the equation y=mx+b. so, 3=(-4)(-2) + b. Then, 3=8+b. Then, solve for b. ---> 3-8= -5. so, b = -5. then put it all back into the original equation y=mx+b.

answer: y=-4x + (-5)

hope i helped! :)

-
y-y1=m(x-x1)
(y-3)=(-4)(x- -2) = (y-3)=(-4)(x+2)
y-3= -4x-8
y= -4x-5

-
y=-4x + b

(3)= -4 (-2) + b

3= 8 + b

b= -5

y= -4x -5
