For trigonometric ratios how does sin^-1 8/13 and get 37.98

I think its because I divide the fraction 8/13 before doing the sin^-1 function but I dont know how else to do it on a calculator.-You need to make sure that your calculator is in degree mode, not radian mode. Then type in sin^1(8/13) and you will get 37.98-sin^-1 8/13 = arcsin(0.6154) = 37.......
I'm doing it wrong, I keep on getting .49. I think its because I divide the fraction 8/13 before doing the sin^-1 function but I don't know how else to do it on a calculator.
