Meter, Decimeter, Centimeter, and Millimeter). Monday or M can also be interchangeable with G or L according to whether you are using Grams, Meters,......
Tony has a 1kg bag of rice.
Every time he makes a meal for himself with rice he uses 150g of rice..
How many meals can he make before he has to buy another bag of rice?

1 kg is = 1000g, so if he makes 6 meals that uses up 900g which leaves him with 100g left, as that is not enough to make a 7th meal, the answer is 6,
good luck mate

What I use for problems like these is a simple thing called KHDMDCM, or King Henry Died Monday Drinking Chocolate Milk. The first letter of each word represents a metric system unit (Kilometer, Hectometer, Decameter, Meter, Decimeter, Centimeter, and Millimeter). "Monday" or "M" can also be interchangeable with "G" or "L" according to whether you are using Grams, Meters, or Liters. In your case it would be KHDGDCM. First you must figure out how many grams of rice Tony has.

On a piece of paper, write KHDGDCM. Put a dot under the K, since he has 1 KILOGRAM. Now, drawing loops, it takes 1, 2, 3 loops until you get to grams. Write that above KHDGDCM. Now write 1 on your paper. The decimal on 1 is to the right of the one. Put the decimal there. Since there were 3 loops, move the decimal 3 places to the right of the decimal. You now have 1000. That is how many GRAMS of rice Tony has. Now, you simply take 1000 and divide it by 150, getting 6.6. Since he can't make a 6th of a meal, you round down to 6.

Hope I helped!

1kg = 1,000 grams

150g = 1 meal
150g = 2 meals
150g = 3 meals
150g = 4 meals
150g = 5 meals
150g = 6 meals

Total = 900 grams leaving 100 grams left over
