300/(10*3) - 1+2^3
Please show the process if you can!
I've done it about 3 times and I keep on getting the same answer: +1
I don't know what I'm doing wrong.... I'm following the order of operation: P.E.M.D.A.S
Thanks!!

I know you do PEMDAS but I'm british and grew up with BIDMAS so...
first brackets which changes: 300/(10*3) - 1+2^3 into 300/30 -1+2^3
next Indices so 300/30 -1+2^3 becomes 300/30 -1+ 8
next division... 300/30 -1 +8 into 10 -1 +8
which becomes: 10-1 +8 --> 9+8 --> 17
BIDMAS --> Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, addition, subtraction

I assume when you say 10*3 you're actually saying ten times three which is 30. 300 divided by 30 is 10. Subtract 1 from that and you get 9. Add 8 (or 2^3) and yu get 17. I don't know what you mean when you say P.E.M.D.A.S. though.

300/(10*3) - 1+2^3
= 300/30 -1 +(2^3)
= 10 -1 +8
= 17
= 300/30 -1 +(2^3)
= 10 -1 +8
= 17
