Could anyone help me solve this:

Tan(50)+Tan(100)/1-tan(50)tan(100)

I've been getting varying answers and I can't keep working this out to death. Thanks!

wat u got to use here is the formula Tan(A+B) = (Tan A +Tan B)/1-Tan (A)tan(B)
In this case ur A is 50 and ur B is 100 '
Therefore u get
Tan(50)+tan(100)/1-Tan(50)Tan(100) which gives u = Tan (50+100)
Which is Tan(150) 150 is in the Sin quadrant so for tan will be negative
And by exact value Tan (150) = - 1/Sq root 3

-
[tan(50)+tan(100)]/[1-tan(50)tan(100)] = -1/sqrt(3)

Edit: use trig. ID:
tan(x) + tan(y) = sin(x+y)/[cos(x)cos(y)]
=> sin(150) / [ cos(50) cos(100)] / [1 - sin(50)/cos(50) sin(100)/cos(100)]
= sin(150) /[ cos(50) cos(100)] / [(cos(50)cos(100) - sin(50)sin(100)]/[ cos(50)cos(100)]
= sin(150) / [(cos(50)cos(100) - sin(50)sin(100)]
use trig ID:
[(cos(x)cos(y) - sin(x)sin(y)] = cos(x + y)
=> sin(150)/cos(150) = -1/sqrt(3)

-
Tan(50)+Tan(100)/1-tan(50)tan(100)
-0.271900612 + -0.587213915 / 1.27190061 x -0.587213915
-0.859114527 / -0.746877737
= 1.15027465
