What time and date is it in Australia when it is 5:00 am PST (US Pacific Standard Time/West Coast) on April 3, 2012?
10 points for the best answer! I really need to know!

Australia (the mainland plus Tasmania, and ignoring all the other islands) has three time zones (Western, Central and Eastern - the joys of having a single digit number of states and territories!). Fortunately we've just finished Daylight Saving, so I won't have to worry about the two additional zones that temporarily creates.
03 April 2012 05:00AM PDT equates to (on the same day):
10:00PM EST (Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart)
09:30PM CST (Darwin, Alice Springs, Adelaide)
08:00PM WST (Port Hedland, Perth)
So, when most people are waking up to the day on the US west coast, Aussie have pretty much done with it already.
Sorry for using PDT instead of PST. For PST, the Australian times advance one more hour (11PM, 10:30PM, and 9PM respectively).
