5 then just multiply-7 1/2 is a fraction ,but i think youre asking about a single fraction?to make 7 1/2 into one fraction, multiply the bottom number of the fraction (2) by the whole number you have already (7). this gets 14. now add 14 to the top number,......
I know how to do this but i just need help with one problem. I need to find the area of a parralelogram. I know that i need to multiply all the numbers but there are some problems that have fractions and i need help with that. How do i turn 7 1/2 into a whole number? I need to multiply it by 8 and 11. I dont want the answer just an explination on how to do it.

Since 1/2 equals 0.5 you just replace 1/2 with 0.5 which is 7.5 then just multiply

7 1/2 is a fraction , so it can't be a whole number

but i think you're asking about a single fraction?
to make 7 1/2 into one fraction, multiply the bottom number of the fraction (2) by the whole number you have already (7). this gets 14. now add 14 to the top number, to get 15, and keep the original bottom number.

this should get you 15/2 as your fraction.

U don't need to make 7 1/2 a whole number. Because u can multiply 11/1 by 8/1 by 7 1/2. 11/1 =11 so hope this helps

1/2 = 0.5, so 7 1/2 = 7.5
