please explain your method. whats the value of t? has to be a whole number
1) -9≤3t<3
i thought that t was 1, but it cant be because 3 is equal to 3 so I'm wrong. so what is it?
2) -3<2t+3≤5
please help. i dont get them at all.

I will write <= and because I don't know how to write that symbol here.
1) -9<=3t<3
You can divide the inequality by 3 because you need t and not 3t.
You get -3<=t<1
So, t can be -3, -2, -1 or 0 because it has to be greater than or equal to -3, it has to be whole number and it has to be less than 1, so the numbers that satisfy that are -3, -2, -1 and 0.
2)-3<2t+3<=5
First, you subtract 3 from everything in this inequality.
You get -6<2t<=2
Then, you divide it by 2
You get -3
So, t has to be greater than -3, it should be whole number, and it should be less than or equal to 1.
That means that t could be -2, -1, 0 or 1.
If these two were separate tasks, than that's it.

1. If 3t is more than or equal to -9 then the most t can be is -3
Same goes for the 3
so -3<=t<1 (i cant find the more than or equal to sign so just take it as <= )
However if you say it has to be a whole number then as it has to be less than 1 and not equal to then it cant be 1 so the answers it can be are:
-3, -2, -1, 0
2,
-3<2t+3<=5
take away 3 from all sides
-6<2t<=2
Divide by 2
-3
Remember inequalities are the exact same as working with normal equations except if you multipy or divide by a negative number, then the less than sign becomes more than and a more than sign becomes a less than but you didnt have to do that in these examples.

1. -9≤3t<3 (divide all by 3)
-3≤t<1
2. -3≤ 2t+3 ≤ 5 (subtract 3)
-6≤ 2t ≤ 2 ( divide by 2)
-3≤ t ≤ 1
-3≤t<1
2. -3≤ 2t+3 ≤ 5 (subtract 3)
-6≤ 2t ≤ 2 ( divide by 2)
-3≤ t ≤ 1
