Help with y=mx+b? Pretty simple.

What is 2x+4y=8 in y=mx+b form
and what is x=3y-11

solve for y

2x + 4y = 8
4y = -2x + 8
y = (-2/4)x + 8/4
y = (-1/2)x + 2

x = 3y - 11
-3y = -x - 11
y = (1/3)x + 11/3

Isolate the y in each equation.

2x + 4y = 8
4y = 8 - 2x
y = 2 - 0.5x [divide both sides by 4]

Do the other one yourself.

2x+4y=8
4y = -2x + 8
y = (-2x +8) / 4
y = -0.5x + 2

x=3y-11
3y = x + 11
y = (x + 11) / 3
y = ⅓x + 9⅔
