John spent 1/5 of his savings on gifts before christmas. Then after christmas he spent 2/3 of what remained on after sales. How much of his savings remained? PLEASE DONT USE CALC. and show your steps!!......
Ok so there are 3 questions:
1. convert to percent:0.6666
2. express as ration in lowest terms: 4.5l to 2500 ml
3. John spent 1/5 of his savings on gifts before christmas. Then after christmas he spent 2/3 of what remained on after sales. How much of his savings remained?

I just did 1 & 2 on another of your questions

3) Let M = savings

Spent 1/5 of M leaving 4/5 M............1 - 1/5 = 5/5 - 1/5 = 4/5

Now if he is going to SPEND 2/3 of the 4/5M that means he
will still have left 1/3 of the 4/5M

Ask someone to write a number, say a five-digit number.
(Can be a 2-digit.....3-digit.....4-digit....ect..…
Suppose the number written is

Now, without showing the asker, you write a number on
a sheet of paper and keep it folded. You have to write the
number by subtracting 2 from the above number and
adding 2 in front which will be....

Next, ask the person to write another five-digit number
below his original number. Suppose he writes 37589.
