I have my own opinions on this and was wondering what you thought. So, do you think it happened and if not, why not?

Extremely real. Witnessed and verified by more people than any other single event in history until... wow.. hard to come up with a good example... Perhaps the Berlin Wall coming down? ...
More real than your mother's bad breath. More real than your father's snoring. More real than your girlfriend's paternity test which has you paying child support. Certainly far, *far* more witnesses - and far, *far* too many people actually involved to have any sort of reasonable ''secret conspiracy''. If close to 5% of the country's *entire population* is involved in the ''conspiracy'' - - its pretty much impossible to hide successfully. If that also means close to 10% of the nations genius-level-and-up scientific minds are involved - its even *more* difficult to keep hidden (which you would understand if you had any sort of long-term dealings with academia).
**Every** **single** so-called ''objection'' that has been presented by the looney-toon ''conspiracy theorists'' has been shown to be - - bogus. In well over 90% of the cases, it comes from a fundamental lack of understanding of how physics actually works, and how different conditions really are on the moon. And the remainder tend toward.. simple lunacy...errr... ''insanity''.
Not that you would look for any explanations, of course - the only thing you are looking for is other lack-wits feeding back exactly the predetermined result that you want to get - rather than reality.

It is not, and has never been, a matter of opinion. The Moon landings (plural: there were six) are just about the most meticulously documented events in human history. They involved hundreds of thousands of people and the amount of evidence in favour of their reality is simply overwhelming.
