-1) is walking 2/3of the distance and both are walking in a intercepting direction ,Will Boris and Eva intercept each other ?If not , what length of distance separates them ?Thanks for your time:( im stuck........
If Boris (-5,3 ) is walking 1/3 of the distance and Eva (-2,-1) is walking 2/3 of the distance and both are walking in a intercepting direction ,

Will Boris and Eva intercept each other ?
If not , what length of distance separates them ?

Thanks for your time :( im stuck......

I wrote this out and then I think it was pretty obvious.

we know the location of boris and eva and they are walking towards each other, so yes, of course, they will touch exactly.

to figure out the distance complete the triangle at a right angle. you know a = 4, b = 4, so c equals sqrt(32).

to think about it further, we know boris walks (1/3)*sqrt(32), eva walks (2/3)*sqrt(32).

I don't think it is so obvious. You have not said they are walking towards each other, just that they are walking in an intercepting direction. I think you need to give us more information.
