Yeah i just asked this question but got all different answers lol so i explained it a little more.
the numbers 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9-including zero but they can only be single digit numbers. not 10 or 12 any anything like that. I have to use 3 numbers in each combination. how many different combinations are possible?

We have different cases for this
Case 1.
If repetition is allowed and if you consider 000, 001,002... as 3-digit numbers.
Since we have 10 digits to choose from we have
10 x 10 x 10 = 1000.
if 000, 001,002,003... are not accepted as 3-digit numbers.
we have:
9 x 10 x10 = 900 -------> we have only 9 options for the hundreds place because 0 is not included.
Case 2
If repetition is not allowed ( the digit must be used once) and numbers like 012, 013,014... are accepted as 3-digit numbers:
10 x 9 x 8 =720
If repetition is not allowed ( the digit must be used once) and numbers like 012, 013,014... are NOT accepted as 3-digit numbers:
9 x 9 x 8 =648
