The intensity of the E field is inversely proportional to the distance from the charge. So you need to do the superposition of the contribution from each charge.
If you set your problem up right, imagine a grid of points that all your charges lay on. You will have to figure out what the resolution of that grid needs to be, without making the problem too huge. (It is possible that the solution may lie outside the bounds of the rectangle that contains all your charges.) Lay out all your charges, and sum the contribution of each charge to every point on the grid.
(I personally am a little confused, I would think that some of the charges should be positive and some negative, if the field will have points that sum to "0". You need to check that out. There are obvious errors in the above.)
Get together with some of your classmates and discuss.
Get Matlab up and start playing with it. Have you done any Matlab?
