I need help with graphing functions without a calculator. These are the two functions:
1) 3x^6-57x^4+6x^3+144x^2-96x
2) -2x^5-14x^4-30x^3-18x^2

I'm still so confused by this chapter. Please help me out? Thanks!

1) Since the highest power is 6, the function will look like x^6 (it will have 5 turns in directions) (both arrows will point up, since it is even)
find the x-intercepts, plug in 0 for y, or f(x) then find out all the posible numbers and plot them, finding the y intercept will help to, pluggin in 0 for any x in the equation

2) the function will look like x^5 (4 turns in directions) (and the first arrow will come from the top of quadrant 2, the second arrow down in quadrent 4, most likely)
then again find the intercepts
sorry, its hard to explain such a complicated problem over the internet. i hope i helped a little

collect like terms for the equations and find the intercepts.

e.g. if it collects to become x(x-2)(x+2) then the three intercepts would be 0, 2 and -2, hence a cubic graph.

Need a graphic calculator because it's very hard to sketch polynimials with degree 5 or 6
