just practice and it should come to you
There are some nice patterns involved
You might practice writing down the table, that helps some people more,
or saying it out loud.
For the 5s the pattern is pretty easy
2x5 = 10, 3 x 5 = 15, 4 x 5 = 20, 5x5 = 25, 6x5 = 30, 7x5 = 35, 8x5 = 40, 9x5 = 45
The pattern is for even numbers the digit is dividing the number by 2
6x5 = (6/2) x (5x2) = 3x10 = 30
For 6 times something you just add the number again and that's how I learned the even multiples of 6
6x2 = 10+2 = 12
6x4 = 24
6x6 = 36
6x8 = 48
6x10 = 60
Another exercise is just write down all the numbers from 1 to 100 in a 10 x 10 table,
then study which ones are multiples of 6 or 7 or 8 or whatever number you are having trouble multiplying by :)
It isn't really a huge number of facts to know
The more you practice the better you get with it.
Also if you do a web search for multiplication drill practice game (some of those words) you will find lots of web games to practice multiplying - that can get you faster too.
