Given csc x = -5/4 and tan x = -4/3, evaluate the remaining trigonometric functions.

thanks

well you know that tan x = opp/adj and csc x = 1/sin x = hyp/opp

so the opposite side must be -4 and the adj must be 3 meaning the hypotenuse is 5.

sin x = -4/5 cos x = 3/5
cot x = -3/4 sec x = 5/3

That's it! :-D

-
tanx=sinx/cosx
cscx=1/sinx

Using that info, you can find out what sine is, and then what cosine is; along with cotx, and secx.

Hope that helps!

Triangle is in the fourth quadrant. It is a 3,4,5 triangle sin x = 4/5, cos x = 3/-5, cot x = -3/4, sec x = 3/-4

what remaining trig functions???
