How many complex roots does this problem have

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-10-20] [Hit: ]
-4, 4.Try them to see if any are roots of the equation..BTW, you forgot = 0.......
x^4+2x^3-9x^2-2x+8
And can you also tell me how you got the answer.
Thanks for you help!

None.

The roots are -4, -1, 1, 2

The divisors of 8 are -1, 1, -2, 2, -4, 4. Try them to see if any are roots of the equation..

BTW, you forgot = 0. "This problem", as you state it, is senseless: x^4+2x^3-9x^2-2x+8 is just an expression, it doesn't have any roots!
