Finding values for x and y such that Matrix A = B

1. Given that
A=

x 3 1
5-x -3 8

B=
5 7 6
5-x 3 1
x 3+y 8

A= 3rd row is 5-x, -3, 8
B= 2nd row is 5-x, 3, 1
B=3rd row is x, 3+y, 8

find values for x and y such that A = B.
your answer as a list [in brackets] in the form: [ x, y ]

For A = B each entry must be equal

So for A[2,1] = x = 5-x
2x = 5
x = 5/2

And A[3,2] = -3 = 3+y
-6 = y
answer is [5/2, -6]
